Contemporary tableware

I began working with clay in 1991 and have studied ceramics in Kings Lynn, Bristol, Cardiff and France. The wheel quickly became my favourite method of production and my range of contemporary tableware is still mostly thrown.

The designs were originally inspired by looking at ethnic and folk art and textiles and have evolved over time to the present range.

I like to combine simple mark-
making (using slips and hand-
cut sponges) with contemporary forms, which keeps the work fresh and current.  The small palette of colours means the designs can stand alone or be comfortably mixed and matched.
